If ETS are capable of travelling to us which I think is likely- I doubt that they would be afraid of our primitive weapons and ways. Ets that are that sophisticated would probably be not too bothered about us- also I believe there our infinite numbers of life forms in our cosmos. So we are not that much in the cosmos.
